Brotherhood

The Congregation Beth Shalom Brotherhood is composed of men committed to giving back to the Congregation, the overall Jewish community and our Corona-Norco-Eastvale neighbors.

Brotherhood members have raised significant funds to purchase Trees for Israel and sponsor campership stipends for Jewish students who might never be able to afford experiencing the thrill of the summer camp program.

The Brotherhood sponsor’s and prepares regular breakfasts to support our Hebrew School students. We work within our community to pick up supermarket products at local grocery stores to be sorted and distributed by Settlement House, an organization that has been feeding the areas’ poor for over 100 years.  Members also come together to attend local sports events.

For over twenty years, Brotherhood has presented a Kristallnacht remembrance program for 8th graders in the Corona-Norco school system.  On the anniversary of Kristallnacht 300+ 8th graders are given the opportunity to hear about the Holocaust directly from one that was there – and receive extra school credit for doing so.

All these programs require two elements, volunteers to prepare and present and money. Each year the Brotherhood sponsors a Community Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament that raises in excess of $2,000. The tournament grew from just a few members getting together every month to enjoy the poker and comradery with fellow members, while raising a few dollars for our student programs.

If you feel a commitment to do a little more for your community, and love to have a good time, become part of a group of men that feel the same.
